Depending on the manufacturing method, there are two basic types:

Pletene (woven) trake izrađuju se tehnologijom unakrsnog tkanja poliesterskih niti, čime se postiže visok nivo čvrstoće i fleksibilnosti. Imaju tekstilni izgled, prijatne su na dodir, mekane i omogućavaju dodatno dotezanje nakon vezivanja.

Pogodne su za industrije koje pakuju proizvode nepravilnog oblika i sa oštrim ivicama – kao što su pilane, proizvođači profila, stakla, kamena, hemikalija, automobilska i metalska industrija.
